REGULATORY STATUS Unless expressly stated otherwise for a specific item, Research Products sold by Journi have not been approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for therapeutic use in humans or animals and are not sold as prescription medications. |
3.1 Research-Only Designation
Products designated RUO or Not for Human or Veterinary Use are sold solely for lawful laboratory, analytical, educational, scientific, or research purposes. They are not intended for consumption or administration to humans or animals.
3.2 No Drug or Therapeutic Claims
Journi does not represent Research Products as approved drugs, biologics, dietary supplements, foods, cosmetics, or veterinary treatments. They are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, mitigate, or prevent disease or to affect the structure or function of a human or animal body.
3.3 Not a Pharmacy Pathway
Journi does not operate a compounding pharmacy or any pharmacy in connection with the sale of Research Products. Research Products are not compounded or dispensed pursuant to a patient-specific prescription under Section 503A of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act, and no aspect of a Research Product purchase involves a prescription, prescriber, or pharmacist.
3.4 Scientific Content
Descriptions of molecular targets, receptor activity, mechanisms, preclinical research, clinical research, or published scientific findings are provided for research and educational context. Such content does not change the intended use of the Research Product and does not constitute medical advice or a human-use recommendation.
3.5 Manufacturing, Quality, and Testing Statements
Any statement concerning manufacturing standards, facility registration, third-party testing, sterility testing, identity, purity, potency, or a certificate of analysis describes quality-control or analytical information only. It does not mean that FDA has approved the Research Product or that the product is safe, effective, or suitable for human or veterinary administration. Purity or successful analytical testing is never evidence that a product is safe to ingest, inject, inhale, or otherwise administer to a human or animal.
3.6 Product-Specific Terms Control
If a product page or label imposes additional restrictions or specifications, those product-specific terms apply in addition to this disclosure. Where a product is not expressly designated as a Research Product, its separate labeling and terms control.
